Senior Pastor

The Reverend Jed Watson has been pastor of Peace Memorial Church since April 2019.  Raised in Racine, Wisconsin, he earned his BA in Political Science and English from Marquette University and his MA in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  His first career was in criminal justice, serving state agencies in Nebraska and Wisconsin.  Through his work he acquired fresh insights into the reality and nature of human brokenness, pain and tragedy.  He recalls, "I discovered that the problems that occupied me professionally are all largely spiritual in nature, products of broken relationships and distorted understandings of ourselves in relation to one another and to God.”  It was with this sharpened vision and renewed energy that he heard his call to ministry.  After graduating from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, he served congregations in Wisconsin and Lake Villa, Illinois.  Pastor Jed is happily married to his wife, Sue, a corporate archivist and records manager.  They reside in Orland Park.

Administrative Assistant

Pam has been working in the church office for over 30 years and is also the editor of the church's news paper, "The Messenger." Out of the office, Pam keeps busy with her husband and their three kids, two of whom still live at home. Pam reports that she enjoys being in the office and helping out with the church's activities; the variety makes every day a little bit different from all the others.

Director of Music

Robert Mohr has been a music teacher for over 20 years. He works full time at Crete-Monee High School directing their two show choirs. In addition to his full time job teaching high school music, he does clinics throughout the Midwest and has taught classes at VanderCook College. He works part for Peace Memorial Church directing the choir, leading the Praise Team, and selecting music for worship. When he is not working, what he loves most is spending time with his family: his wife, Tracy, and their twin boys, Ethan and Hayden.

For Thomas R. Osborne music is truly a lifelong passion. He has been directing choirs and playing the organ in church since he was 14. Even while serving in the Navy, he was the organist and choir director for a church in Virginia Beach. Tom received his Bachelors in Music Education from Chicago Conservatory College and his Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music. Prior to coming to Peace Memorial Church, served as organist and director for many churches in the Chicago land area, most recently as the organist at United By Faith (ELCA) for the twenty six years. Along with his love of music and the church, Tom has been actively involved in the Masons and many other service organizations. Tom's favorite way to spend his spare time with his three grown children and three grandchildren.
